We are recruiting a Controller for a growing company in the Raleigh, NC area. You'll lead the month-end close, guide a small team, and help ensure financials are accurate, timely, and actionable. This is a hands-on role with room to think strategically, collaborate cross-functionally, and improve processes along the way. This is a hybrid role.Responsibilities:
  • Own the month-end close process — from journal entries and reconciliations to analysis and forecasting
  • Prepare, review, and maintain financial reports for complex accounts, ensuring data accuracy
  • Analyze results and provide clear variance explanations to management and operations partners
  • Oversee internal and external audit coordination, including SOX testing procedures
  • Implement and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and process documentation across departments
  • Drive ASC 606 revenue recognition compliance and other technical accounting initiatives
  • Partner with Manufacturing and Ops to ensure accurate inventory accounting and timely financial reporting
  • Continuously seek out opportunities to improve financial performance, reduce expenses, and enhance cash flow
  • Mentor junior and mid-level accountants, supporting their development and strengthening the team
  • Contribute to special projects and strategic initiatives as the business evolves
What We’re Looking For:
  • Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA highly preferred
  • 6+ years of accounting experience, ideally with a mix of public accounting and industry exposure (manufacturing is a huge plus)
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial systems
  • Proven ability to communicate with non-finance teams and lead cross-functional efforts
