- Serve as the single source of responsibility to the company and the customer.
- Perform all project management functions required to promote and finalize sales, including concept engineering, complete estimates, and written proposals.
- Successfully manage contracts, including sales, estimating, procurement, and execution.
- Oversee field labor and installation sequencing, coordinating between the customer and field leadership.
- Understand financial aspects of each job, including forecasting, budget projection, and cost control.
- Provide letters, proposals, memos, contracts, change orders, and strategies for good business procedures and legal protection.
- Manage billing processes and understand job costs.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers, including leadership of client meetings and contract development.
- Coordinate project efforts across various departments, including Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Construction, and Service.
- Contribute to special studies and committees to advance technical abilities in engineering, planning, estimating, and installation procedures.
- Effectively communicate with internal and external customers and attend relevant sales and construction meetings.
- Schedule and coordinate pre-construction project kickoff meetings with department heads and supervisors.
- Utilize internal resources to meet customer requirements, coordinating staff from all departments as needed.
- 8+ years of experience in project management.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and process systems.
- Proficiency in construction estimating and mechanical engineering.
- Experience managing projects with budgets exceeding $10 million.
- Skill in procurement, forecasting, budget management, and job costing.
- Ability to develop and manage contracts and proposals.
- Experience with estimating software and construction management.
- Ability to manage relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and industry professionals.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
