We work on a wide range of transportation projects, including transit passenger facilities, roadways, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, airport landside facilities. and major infrastructure efforts throughout the Inland and Pacific Northwest . Our team supports projects from early planning and feasibility through design, permitting, and construction. We collaborate closely with public agencies (local, state and federal), transit and port authorities, contractors, and fellow engineers to deliver thoughtful, sustainable solutions that improve mobility, restore natural systems, and strengthen the built environment.Located in downtown Seattle, our office is seeking a Senior Civil/Transportation Engineer with a minimum 7 years of experience designing and leading transportation engineering projects. Our Spokane office is delivering some of the most transformative projects in the Inland Northwest. This position will provide the opportunity for you to help our diverse and wonderful clients plan, design and implement their highway/bridge, transit and aviation projects and programs and:
  • Lead multidiscipline teams on stimulating and challenging multi-disciplinary projects, from planning through design and construction
  • Coaching and mentoring junior staff
  • Develop and manage project scope, schedule and budget
  • Engage with clients to define and achieve a successful outcome
  • Build and foster client relationships
  • Engage in business development pursuits and market clients
  • Grow our practice in the Inland NW
This position demands a self-starter type, with a passion for client service and high-quality engineering.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
  • A minimum of 7 years of civil engineering and project management experience
  • PE in Washington State or the ability to get reciprocity.
  • AutoCAD, Civil3D proficiency is required, bonus points for MicroStation and OpenRoads (InRoads, GEOPAK)
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment.
  • Leadership aptitude
  • Task or project management experience preferred
Additional InformationPhysical Demands:
  • Duties are primarily conducted in a standard office setting, requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer table.
  • Occasionally may be required to lift objects weighing up to 15 lbs.
  • Occasionally visiting project locations and performing field inspections which may involve walking, standing, kneeling, or navigating uneven terrain.
  • Traveling to project sites or client meetings, which may involve driving or flying.
Compensation:The base salary for this role is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's experience, education, and skills. The expected range for a qualified candidate is $105,000 - $165,000 annually.Additionally, we offer performance-based bonuses to recognize and reward outstanding contributions in each Reporting Center.
