Sign on BonusThe Opportunity: Patient Care Associate - Orthopedic - White 6Why This Role Is Important?White 6 is a 30-bed unit with the clinical specialty being orthopaedics and Oral Maxillofacial/Medical. The population of patients includes elective total joint replacement, trauma, and orthopedic oncology. Under the direction of a registered nurse (RN), the Patient Care Associate (PCA) assists the multi-disciplinary health care team in clinical support functions to promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment.   • NIGHTS (11p-7am, 7pm-7a)
  • 32 hours per week, rotational holiday and weekend schedule
What are we looking for?
  • PCA assists patients with daily living needs, monitoring & reading vital signs, drawing blood, and obtaining EKGs. Responds to patient requests in a timely manner, safeguarding patient confidentiality, monitoring patient safety, and always communicating in a respectful manner.

  • Required: Must have recent experience, and/or training, in clinical patient care.
  • Preferred: Licensed, certified, or enrolled student in a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Mental Health Technician, or EMT accredited program, at the time of hire, OR
  • Candidate enrolled in a Nursing, Pre-Med, PA undergraduate program, with at least one semester of patient care rotations completed, at time of hire
