
Application Support Engineer - Sr

- Develop and execute technology plans focused on project delivery, production environment sustainment, and team development
- Lead engineering initiatives to improve system availability and manage hardware/software lifecycle activities
- Build and maintain direct relationships with infrastructure and business leaders across the enterprise to align on shared goals
- Participate in the selection and implementation of next-generation technologies and strategies
- Architect and support complex infrastructure designs across large-scale data centers handling mission-critical, high-volume transactions
- Conduct research and development throughout the project lifecycle, including technical analysis, design, and operational support
- Lead infrastructure and application engineering teams in planning, designing, implementing, and supporting systems including servers, software, load balancers, and HSM appliances
- Work in a rotational on-call support environment
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or system administration
- 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications, including incident response, middleware upgrades, certificate management, documentation, and metrics reporting
- Strong background in UNIX, Sun Solaris, Linux, and Shell scripting
- Proven experience in hardware and operating system troubleshooting
- Willingness to work in a rotational on-call support environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience designing and maintaining server build configurations for WebLogic servers
- 4+ years of experience performing system patching, hardening, and managing automated deployments
- 4+ years of experience analyzing and resolving incidents and problems in hosted infrastructure and applications
- 4+ years of experience with daily operations of hosted infrastructure and applications, ensuring uptime and service quality
- 4+ years of experience researching and implementing innovative, automated approaches to system administration tasks
