Heatcraft products are primarily used to preserve food and other perishables in supermarkets, convenience stores, restaurants, warehouses and distribution centers, in addition to other applications such as data centers, pharmaceutical and industrial process cooling.Job DescriptionLocation: Stone Mountain, GA (This role is based in the office Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.)WHAT YOU’LL BE DOINGAs a Senior Application Engineer in the refrigeration industry, you will play a crucial role in supporting our outside sales team, customers, and end users by providing expert technical guidance throughout the sales cycle. You will be responsible for the selection, quotation, configuration, and troubleshooting of refrigeration systems, from standard to complex setups, ensuring our products are applied effectively and customers receive superior support. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with our top engineers on the development of both refrigeration products and software solutions.
  • Refrigeration Technical Support: Offer comprehensive technical assistance to customers, guiding them in product selection, system configuration, troubleshooting, and operational guidance for refrigeration systems.
  • Training & Education: Conduct focused training sessions for sales teams and customers, covering the proper use, features, and application of refrigeration products to enhance customer knowledge and satisfaction.
  • System Customization: Develop and implement customer-specific programming, refrigeration controls, and parameter settings to meet the unique needs of refrigeration applications.
  • Product Application: Work closely with customers to ensure refrigeration systems are designed and applied in compliance with performance standards and industry best practices.
QualificationsWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORIn order to be successful in this role, you will need to have the following:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the refrigeration industry, with a deep understanding of refrigeration systems and components.
  • Strong technical knowledge of refrigeration system calculations and equipment integration.
  • Familiarity with custom refrigeration control programming and system customization.
  • Excellent customer service, problem-solving skills, and mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to explain complex technical details clearly.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with experience in refrigeration-specific software being a plus.
