
Entry-Level Civil/Geotechnical Engineer - Water Resources

- Assisting with analyzing and designing new and renovated water retaining structures including, but not limited to, embankment dams and levees
- Designing sheet pile and foundations
- Performing stability, seepage, and settlement modeling of embankment dams and levees
- Performing field observations and construction inspection (some travel will be required) for dams and levees
- Preparing reports and design computations
- Developing plans, technical specifications, and construction cost estimates
- A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil or geotechnical engineering from an accredited college or university or be able to obtain degree within nine months of hire date
- Coursework including slope stability, seepage analysis, and foundation design
- Software programs including Microsoft Excel, Rocscience, GeoStudio, or UTEXAS
- Subsurface investigations
- Soils laboratory testing
- Construction inspection
- Construction materials testing
- A master’s degree in civil or geotechnical engineering
- EIT certification
