Position will be open until filled.We are currently seeking:An Operations System Analyst I to join our team. In this role, you will perform routine and complex administrative, technical, and analytical work in the support of the City's Asset Management Software. This full-time position will assist City Department Heads and Division Managers in administering the City's asset management software and in carrying out special projects providing a variety of analytical functions related to its application.Your responsibilities will include: * Assistance with the management and oversight of the City's Asset Management Software.
  • Working with internal departments and external partners in the configuration, implementation, training, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Asset Management Software.
  • Performing a wide variety of research, administrative, and analytical duties in support of functions, operations, and program areas related to Asset Management Software applications.
  • Performing duties in support of various administrative operations and activities within assigned area of responsibility including analysis of assets and infrastructure, special projects, research studies, and other specialized functions.
  • Preparing and submitting numerous reports to various internal departments.
  • Maintaining management databases and dashboards used in capturing critical information on assets and infrastructure, budget performance, work and project statuses, and work accountability.
  • Assisting with routine and complex internal inquiries related to assets, infrastructure, and Asset Management Software management.
  • Maintaining, troubleshooting, testing, updating, and/or upgrading computer software, and mobile applications.
  • Conducting a variety of file storage functions; maintaining computer system files; monitoring system capacity and file size; deleting obsolete files as necessary.
  • Reviewing technical logs; monitoring computer software for proper functioning.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting a variety of technical systems issues.
  • Responding to technical inquiries and requests from departmental management and personnel.
  • Providing systems support and training to end users.
  • Compiling and analyzing statistical data; creating specialized reports as required
  • Assisting in coordinating and implementing technology projects.
  • Follow written and oral instructions, departmental policies, rules, regulations, and laws.
  • Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field and one to three years of analytical experience is required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in related field. Additional familiarity with Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Local Government, or similar disciplines preferred.Required Licenses or Certifications:
  • A valid Texas Driver License with a good driving record is required.
  • Applicants with an out-of-state driver license must provide an original certified driving record from the state of driving licensure.
Required Knowledge of:
  • Asset Management, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and Work Order System configuration, management, budgeting principles, operation, and application.
  • Computers, mobile devices, and electronic data processing.
  • Modern records management techniques, office practices and procedures.
Preferred Knowledge of:
  • Departmental operations relative to Public Works.
  • SQL and database management principles and best practices.
  • Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and other software associated with Asset Management
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
  • Work is performed in a standard office environment.
  • Subject to sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting of objects up to 20 pounds.
