
Lead UX Designer

- At least 7 years of experience in UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing strategic design thinking and hands-on product design.
- 7 years of experience conducting user research (surveys, interviews, usability testing, etc.) and translating insights into actionable design improvements.
- 7 years of experience creating core UX artifacts such as wireframes, journey maps, interactive prototypes, and design systems.
- Proficiency with design and prototyping tools including Figma and Illustrator.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Psychology, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience working on early-stage innovation or product discovery teams.
- Background working with internal and external users in both B2B and B2C contexts.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills to engage cross-functional stakeholders.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled design or education technology products.
- Master’s degree in HCI, Design Strategy, or a related discipline.
- Conduct deep user research, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing to inform design direction.
- Design and prototype intuitive and scalable digital experiences, from initial concept through to implementation.
- Create UX artifacts such as user personas, journey maps, wireframes, and interactive prototypes to communicate design intent.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, AI, etc.) to ensure solutions meet both user needs and business objectives.
- Influence product strategy by leveraging research insights and aligning UX best practices with business goals.
- Full-time permanent position primarily working core business hours in your time zone, with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed.
- Hybrid position working 2–3 days/week on-site.
- Must live within a commutable distance to one of our US office locations: Ann Arbor, Alexandria or Philadelphia
