Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain LabVIEW based test benches, including hardware connections, cables, and instrumentation
- Assemble high voltage battery cell test fixtures
- Assemble the liquid cooling system for battery cell test fixtures
- Develop and implement safety protocols and interlocks for automated equipment to ensure a safe working environment
- Perform basic troubleshooting of hardware and software issues within LabVIEW environment
- Assist engineers in the development and debugging of test cases
- Execute test scripts and procedures on the LabVIEW simulator according to test plans
- Develop an automated regression test suite for feature-based software validation
- Monitor tests, record data, and document any anomalies or deviations from expected behavior
- Maintain accurate records of test setups, results, and any issues encountered
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of validation processes and methodologies
- Follow and enforce all lab safety protocols
- Maintain a clean workspace
- Complete preventive Maintenance of the test stand
- Degree BS or AA in electrical engineering technology, computer engineering technology, mechatronics, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 2 years of experience working with battery technology, Battery Management System (BMS), or HIL technologies
- This role requires a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles
- Demonstrated knowledge of software and hardware validation testing and test automation
- Demonstrated knowledge of test equipment, LabVIEW, and data acquisition systems
- Experience with high voltage systems
- Experience with communication protocols, CAN-FD and CAN over Ethernet
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards and regulations
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
