
Lead Sprayer Technician

- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience preferred.
- Low-Observables and Stealth Technology Certificate a plus.
- Demonstrated competency in spraying fundamentals: principals of coating application via spray coating, ability to disassemble, clean, reassemble and perform functions check on common spray equipment (gun, fluid lines, air lines, pressure pot, paint shaker, etc.
- Requires good hand-eye coordination.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Close reading of procedures, with the ability to understand and follow directions, is critical.
- Basic math skills are required, particularly the ability to calculate concentrations and adjustments.
- Proactive adherence to strict safety protocols is required.
- Preparing and smoothing surfaces using an orbital sander is a plus.
- Applies coatings to diverse substrates using a variety of spray techniques.
- Prepares surfaces for spraying, tests coatings during and after deposition, performs finishing work and helps maintain spray equipment and booth.
- Completes documentation in alignment with GDP.
- Maintains and troubleshoots spray equipment, cleans and maintains the spray booth.
- Performs in-process testing in alignment with demanding product specifications.
- Identifies and reports processes that need revision. Continually trains and demonstrates improved skill set and technique.
- Provides daily status updates on projects as required and notifies management of delays, technical or logistical problems immediately. Performs regular inventory of critical intermediates and supplies. Monitors product yields and throughput and strives to achieve high targets.
- Supports other operations as needed.
