Job Category: FIELD OPERATORJob Description:Job OverviewWeatherford is seeking experienced Field Operators to join our Tubular Running Services team in Vernal, Utah. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role that involves operating, maintaining, and servicing specialized oilfield equipment in challenging outdoor environments. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to safety, and the ability to follow detailed procedures while working in remote and rugged field conditions.This position requires regular exposure to environmental elements, including extreme temperatures and weather, and involves heavy manual labor, particularly during the setup and teardown of tubular running equipment.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Duties
  • Rig up and rig down tubular running equipment according to work instructions.
  • Perform equipment inspections, maintenance, and functional testing.
  • Operate mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic systems in the field.
  • Drive company vehicles to and from well sites (pickup trucks and truck-mounted units).
  • Maintain equipment and work areas in safe, clean condition.
  • Accurately complete all required documentation and reports.
Qualifications Required
  • 2½ - 4 years of oilfield experience, preferably in tubular running services.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding conditions.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Willingness to work rotational shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to travel to remote locations and be on 24-hour call.
Preferred
  • Technical certifications related to oilfield operations.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • CDL license (preferred but not required).
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive physical tasks.
  • Work in outdoor environments with exposure to heat, cold, wind, and rain.
  • Safely handle heavy equipment and tools during rig up/rig down operations.
