A well-established cable and wire manufacturing company in Santa Teresa is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join its production team on the 1st shift.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Set up and operate extrusion and drawing machinery following established guidelines and specifications.
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of machines to minimize downtime.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production data, and maintenance activities.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to meet production goals and resolve issues.
- Assist other operators and support team efforts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training preferred.
- Minimum 1 year experience operating production machinery, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and work instructions.
- Basic math skills and proficiency with measurement tools.
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift to 50 pounds, and work in a noisy, fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and team-oriented.
- Must be able to work Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.
