
Process Engineer

- Coordinating efforts with department supervisors in the areas of safety, environmental, quality, paper machine efficiency, maintenance, root cause failure analysis and profitability.
- Collecting and interpreting process data via data analysis and direct observation.
- Coordinating continuous improvement projects and process development ideas.
- Assisting with daily troubleshooting on the paper machine or secondary fiber.
- Communicating with customers on quality issues and seeking feedback on quality initiatives including food safety.
- Leading quality improvement projects to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, Paper Science or related field.
- One to two years of experience preferred in the Paper Industry or process engineering experience. This includes Co-op and Internship experience in the Paper Industry.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively deliver and reinforce consistent messages at all levels.
- Experience in collecting and analyzing data.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and statistical software.
- Strong team player who can effectively work with others to meet objectives and timelines.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
