Our clients are employers, and we offer them cost-effective benefit packages for their employees and dependents, that include medical, dental, vision, life, disability, HSA's, FSA's, STD, LTD, and more. The Account Executive maintains and strengthens business relationships with an assigned group of clients. The individual will work closely with Producers, Marketing Reps, Customer Service Reps, and other Brown & Brown staff to service clients, grow the business, and support the implementation and renewal of health and welfare programs.How You Will Contribute:
  • Lead client strategy and relationship management for a defined book of business (250–1,500+ lives), serving as the primary advisor and escalation point, supported by an assigned Benefit Coordinator.
  • Develop and execute strategic Client Service Plans, aligning benefit goals with organizational objectives and tracking measurable outcomes.
  • Possess a thorough level of understanding of employee benefits, funding arrangements (including self-insured, claims/utilization management, and underwriting.
  • Independently lead client meetings and presentations.
  • Oversee the full renewal lifecycle—from market analysis and plan design recommendations to proposal development, vendor negotiation, and seamless implementation.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of industry trends, legislative changes, and compliance mandates (ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, etc.) and guide clients accordingly.
  • Proactively resolve complex service issues, ensuring timely communication, accurate documentation, and client satisfaction.
  • Lead and support client-facing initiatives including health fairs, open enrollment events, wellness programs, and platform adoption.
  • Serve as a mentor and resource to junior team members, promoting best practices and operational efficiency.
Licensure and Certification:
  • Florida 2-15 Life & Health License required.
Skills and Experience to be Successful:
  • 5 -7 years' experience of employee benefits in an agency, insurance carrier, PEO or equivalent.
  • Experience servicing and renewing employer clients with employees ranging in number from 250-1500+
  • Demonstrated proficiency in all areas of employee benefits (CEBS certification a plus)
  • Working knowledge of Affordable Care Act, 5500, SPD, Medicare Part D, HIPAA and other compliance areas
  • Strong customer service mindset and focus
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor's Degree highly preferred
  • Knowledge of AMS360 agency management software a PLUS!
