- Embed racial equity and social justice principles into every stage of the strategic planning process.
- Ensure authentic engagement with staff at all levels, creating space for their voices, lived experiences, and expertise to shape the agency's direction.
- Partner with Tribes, community organizations, and key partners to co-create solutions that reflect the needs and strengths of Washington's diverse communities.
- Lead all phases of the agency's five-year strategic plan project - from initiation to successful completion.
- Coordinate cross-agency workstreams, ensuring projects are on time, on budget, and aligned with DCYF's mission, values, operating principles and equity commitments.
- Facilitate collaboration with internal teams, Tribes, community partners, and state/federal agencies.
- Apply change management strategies to support adoption of new systems, policies, and processes.
- Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and updates to executive leadership and external key partners.
- Manage project budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships.
- Associate's degree in social sciences, organizational development, public administration, business administration, behavioral sciences or an allied field. AND five (5) years of progressively responsible and multi-dimensional experience in managing complex projects and/or programs.
- Bachelor's degree in social sciences, organizational development, public administration, business administration, behavioral sciences or an allied field. AND three (3) years of progressively responsible and multi-dimensional experience in managing complex projects and/or programs.
- Demonstrated success leading strategic planning processes with executive-level key partners.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale projects with significant operational and policy impacts.
- Experience applying racial equity and social justice frameworks to organizational planning, policy development, or program design.
- Strong facilitation skills with a track record of authentically engaging staff and incorporating their input into decision-making.
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and respectful workplace principles.
- Professional certification in project or change management.
- Experience in public sector policy or project management, particularly in children, youth, and family services.
