
Senior Project Manager-Land Development

- Work independently with integrated teams of engineers, environmental scientists, and landscape architects in developing site/civil engineering plans and specifications for a multitude and public and private projects with a focus on sustainability and resiliency
- Lead and assist with civil engineering for retail, residential, institutional, renewable energy and industrial site design including grading and drainage design, utility design, and site layout
- Preparation and/or reviewing of design criteria, drawings and specifications
- Preparation of schematic design, design development, and construction contract documentation
- Lead the preparation of permitting, design and construction documents
- Lead, mentor and train junior staff
- Project task financial performance, and management of projects
- Attend meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to establish their needs and discuss design/permitting issues
- Technical and design report writing
- Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills
- Team oriented with ability to perform multiple tasks independently in a timely manner and collaborate effectively and positively with other emerging professionals and managers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced office, virtual, and field environment, in rural or urban environments
- Proven strong work-ethic and self-motivated to produce high quality outcomes
- Highly organized, and detail oriented, with ability think creatively and formulate solutions in team environment
- Knowledge of local and state regulations governing site design
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field of study required, Master’s degree a plus (may substitute for 1 year of experience)
- 11+ years of professional site/civil design engineering experience, including consulting/private sector experience, required
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and HydroCAD required, GIS experience a plus
- PE (Professional Engineer) license required
- Solid understanding of the typical land entitlement process in VT including permitting at the local and state level preferred
