
Advanced Lead Engineer - Systems Lab Manager

- Implement and sustain a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) process to ensure the readiness and reliability of Civil Platforms labs, including CHATR1, CHATR2, CPTR1, CPTR2, CPTR3, PDIF, and Qual Hardware support equipment across US and Mexico sites. This includes:
- Ensuring labs meet Test Readiness Review (TRR) requirements, minimizing delays and cost growth.
- Developing and executing proactive calibration plans and maintenance schedules for test equipment.
- Coordinating lab configuration management to support overlapping projects, including 777-9 8 GPM, 11 GPM, 777-8F, 787 baseline, 787 EDE/PBIT, and 787 300c.
- Coordinating unit repairs, component purchasing, and new equipment orders.
- Managing lab obsolescence.
- Lead lab 5S initiatives to maintain organization and efficiency.
- Facilitate DQA lab conformity witnessing and ensure compliance with aerospace standards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to address lab-related issues and support verification activities.
- Using Lean Principles (GE’s “Flight Deck” Principles), foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within lab operations.
- Support the development of additional labs, including customer and hosted function supplier labs.
- Support product development teams with lab definition updates.
- Develop and maintain standard work for lab management activities in coordination with onsite lab support team members (Technicians or site-specific lab managers).
- Develop and maintain standard work for users of the various labs with assistance from the Civil platform technical team.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with at least 6 years of experience in a Systems Engineering organization.
- Commitment to GE Aerospace’s values of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC).
- Ability to Travel up to 15% of the time.
- This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens. GE will require proof of status.
- Knowledge of calibration, test equipment maintenance, and lab configuration management.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, complex environment with multiple overlapping projects.
