- Sells/leases and delivers a minimum of ten units per month and keeps a 12 unit 90-day average for participation in any sales contests.
- Greet customers entering the showroom or sales lot and offer help.
- Enters all customer information into the dealership CRM (customer relation management software). Including name, address, phone number, email address, vehicle of interest, trade information, and co-buyer information.
- Responds to all internet leads that are assigned in CRM in less than 30 minutes.
- Professionally answers inbound phone calls and obtains customer information for future follow-up.
- Utilizes dealership CRM for prospecting and customer follow-up. Logs all activity/customer communication in CRM.
- Assists customers in selecting a vehicle that best fits their needs/wants by asking questions and listening carefully to responses. Fully explains the vehicles feature, advantage, and benefit to the customer to match their needs/wants.
- Completes a full walk-around of the vehicle of interest to each customer.
- Encourages each customer to take a demonstration drive in the vehicle of interest. Follows dealership procedure for obtaining proper identification prior to test drive.
- Gathers information on each customer trade and enters it into CRM.
- Completes a silent walk-around of the trade vehicle with each customer.
- If trade vehicle isn’t present acquires as much information as possible for vehicle appraiser to accurately determine value of trade-in.
- Utilizes SmartPath as much as possible throughout the sales process and works with customer to present numbers and identify the terms that best fit each customer.
- Offers customers all optional equipment and accessories that are available for purchase.
- Ensures Sales Managers have an opportunity to meet each customer in the showroom.
- Turns all closed deals over to finance along with completed deal checklist and any other relevant information.
- Completes a vehicle delivery to each customer including a thorough review of the vehicle’s operating features, technology, warranty, and paperwork.
- Introduces all customers to the Service, Parts, and Collision Center personnel.
- Ensures all follow-up items are completed post-delivery with each customer including but not limited to we-owes, paperwork, and special requests.
- Performs regular follow-up with all unsold and sold customers. Encourages repeat and referral business from all sold customers.
- Assists with lot duties including but not limited to snow removal, merchandising, parking, and setting vehicle displays.
- Conducts business in an ethical and professional manner.
- Completes necessary paperwork for vehicle sales and leases in a timely, efficient, and compliant manner.
- Processes finance/lease deals accurately and fairly through financial sources to secure the approval.
- Provides all customers with a thorough explanation of finance, lease, or transaction terms.
- Thoroughly explains extended warranty and aftermarket product options at the time of purchase.
- Utilizes a menu to present all optional products to each customer purchasing/leasing a vehicle.
- Processes all federal, state, and dealership paperwork related to each vehicle transaction and ensures accuracy.
- Understands and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect the new, used, and finance departments.
- Completes all paperwork necessary for vehicle sales and leases in a timely and efficient manner.
- Checks all paperwork for accuracy before forwarding to accounting team.
- Ensures collection of any down payment/payment on each deal prior to customer finalizing paperwork and taking delivery of vehicle.
- Works with sales and management team to ensure each deal is turned over to finance prior to delivery.
- Assists with ensuring an adequate supply of contracts and paperwork are always on-hand for completion and finalization of car deals.
- Ensures all outstanding loan/lease contracts are funded within ten days.
- Exhibits a high level of commitment to customer satisfaction.

- Knows and understands federal, state, and local laws which govern retail automotive sales.
- Attends all product and sales training courses as requested by Sales Manager’s.
- Attends all sales meetings as requested by Sales Manager’s.
- Stays informed of all new products, features, accessories, etc. and their benefits to customers.
- Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for your position and the job duty at-hand. Promptly notify your supervisor should appropriate PPE be unavailable.
- Report to management any situation, interaction, or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the Company, its personnel, or customers.
- Complete all environmental, health, and safety trainings required by the Company through regularly accessing the appropriate software (KPA, Compli).
- Adhere to all Company and Manufacturer policies and programs governing environmental, health, and safety practices.
- Must be self-motivated with a positive attitude.

- Two years of automotive sales experience. Previous Finance & Insurance experience preferred.
- A Wisconsin Sales License must be maintained.
- A valid driver’s license must be maintained.
- Toyota Certification for Sales Consultant and F&I Consultant must be maintained at the minimum level.
