We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Cost Analyst/Accountant to join our Supply Chain Finance team. In this role you’ll gain hands-on experience in cost accounting, financial analysis, and operational reporting while supporting the company’s financial outcomes and strategic goals. Cost AccountingPartner with Supply Chain business owners and cross functional teams to develop and maintain accurate standard costs across a multi-product, multi-site manufacturing networkPerform ongoing maintenance and updates of standard cost data in the ERP costing module to ensure accurate product COGS and inventory transactionsWork with Sales and Channel Finance teams to provide quarterly product cost updates for licensed partnerships and royalty businessesSupport month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysisSupport internal and external audit requests as neededb. Reporting and AnalysisAssist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and standard cost updates throughout the annual planning cycleMonitor production, labor, and overhead cost variances to identify trends or discrepanciesPartner with sourcing and co-manufacturing teams to understand actual v. plan performancec. Process ImprovementContribute to the ongoing improvement of our cost accounting methodologies and systems.Performs special projects, ad-hoc reporting, and other duties as assigned.Baseline QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency, including ability to perform basic suite of Lookup formulas and reconcile large datasets for analysisSelf-starter with a solution-oriented mindsetExcellent organizational and time management skills.Strong communication skills to explain financial and accounting concepts to non-finance stakeholders.Preferred Skills1-3 years experience in accounting, finance, or manufacturing environmentsBasic knowledge of cost accounting principles (standard costing, variance analysis).Exposure to data visualization or business intelligence tools (MS PowerBI a plus)Familiarity with ERP systems (Dynamics 365 or SAP a plus)Peet’s Home Office is a Hybrid worksite, which requires any Home Office employees to work onsite a minimum of 3 days/ week (Emeryville, California).At Peet’s we hire the best people and are committed to supporting our employees and rewarding them for their work. The target annual base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000.
