
Cost Analyst – Data Center Construction

- Develop and maintain detailed project budgets, including labor, materials, equipment, and services.
- Perform comprehensive cost analysis and forecasting to ensure projects stay within budget.
- Create and maintain interactive dashboards and visual reports using Power BI to support cost tracking, reporting, and decision-making.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for cost optimization.
- Identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and present detailed cost reports and progress updates to project managers and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project teams, procurement, and contract management to ensure cost control and planning advice.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in project design and execution.
- Engage and manage third-party quantity surveyors and validate construction cost estimates.
- Update and maintain a repository for historical cost data to inform future projects.
- Define and track cost performance metrics, leading monthly cost reporting and analysis.
- SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in cost engineering, with a focus on data center construction.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Proficiency in Power BI, including the ability to build and manage dashboards and visualizations.
- Strong analytical skills, experience with cost estimation software, and a solid understanding of financial forecasting and cost accounting principles.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to thrive in a client-facing role.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
