In this position, you will coordinate daily scheduling activities around Kinder Morgan's Wink Pipeline located in the Permian Basin.The Scheduling Representative serves as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, addressing and resolving issues related to crude oil transportation scheduling, allocations, inventory, imbalances, and overseeing daily processing activities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze and resolve issues regarding crude oil transportation scheduling, allocations, and imbalances.
- Creates/manages pipeline schedules & batches for 4 distinct grades of crude oil
- Manage and coordinate batches around Refinery/Shippers requests and system tankage
- Main interface to a Shipper’s El Paso Refinery; on call to address questions/issues
- Provide excellent customer service and promptly resolve customer issues.
- Processes nominations and confirmations from Shippers
- Work with producers, marketers, and downstream interconnects to manage/minimize imbalances.
- Provide accounting with allocations of physical flow across systema and back to all receipt/delivery points.
- Comply with all policies and procedures set forth by the Wink Pipeline FERC tariff.
- Maintain positive relationships with pipelines, producers, marketers and internal business owners.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Position level will be based on the candidate’s skills and qualifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or technical discipline from an accredited university.
- 3-5 years of scheduling experience in the natural gas, products NGL or crude pipelines
- Highly developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills appropriate in a dynamic open team office environment
- Ability to positively interface with customers personally via telephone in a highly efficient, knowledgeable, and professional manner.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as work autonomously with limited direct supervision.
- Ability to balance competing priorities; work within tight and changing deadlines and scope with a high degree of personal initiative.
- Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize workload in a fast-paced and frequently changing environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Solid analytical, conceptualization and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of pipeline standards and guidelines as it relates to nominations, confirmations, scheduling, and allocations.
- Previous experience in a customer service position where complex concepts are conveyed over the phone within a limited time frame.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Strong computer skills including ability to use Microsoft software products and aptitude to learn proprietary crude oil scheduling systems and other applications quickly.
- Continual phone conversations throughout the day with customers, Wink Terminal Operators, other schedulers, pipeline controllers, and interconnect operators.
- Must be able to handle stressful situations and effectively manage operations occurring simultaneously on different pipelines.
- Must be able to work effectively and efficiently in an open space environment shared by other team members.
- Extended work hours may be required in cases of deadlines, extreme weather events pipeline or Refinery upsets/outages
