In this job, you'll be responsible for performing research and analyses to support the effective utilization and treatment of the Company's financial assets. You will develop recommendations on long and short-term investments and risk management, devise pricing, capital expenditure and O&M expense, and capital recovery strategies to achieve corporate financial goals. You will also develop models to forecast business conditions, to support Corporate and departmental decision-making, review and assess impacts of changing regulations, develop and analyze data and writes compelling testimony and responses to regulatory agencies in support of rate, regulatory, and demand side management activities in compliance with regulatory requirements.   • Short and long-term financial modeling in Microsoft Excel and Utilities International (UI) Planner.
  • Support the analysis of potential investments, mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures at SCE.
  • Prepare or revise presentations in support of management communications.
  • Communicate optimally in a matrix organization while ensuring timely delivery of inputs and validation of assumptions.
  • NPV, IRR, discounted cash flow and other valuation analyses.
  • Maintain a safety conscious work environment by following Edison safety protocols and safe work practices.
The Essentials
  • Experience in financial, quantitative, or operational analysis.
The Preferred
  • Graduated in the past 24 months with an undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with financial planning and accounting methodologies.
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly and effectively, including developing and facilitating presentations and recommendations for team and corporate leadership.
  • Experience performing ad-hoc financial analysis, including identifying client needs, gathering relevant information from appropriate stakeholders, and presenting information to management.
  • Experience performing cost/benefit analysis, Net Present Value (NPV) analysis, and assessing financial forecasts.
  • Experience creating valuation models, assessing capital structures and performing cost of capital calculations.
  • Experience developing, validating, and communicating statistical and financial models, as well as ensuring the accuracy and integrity of findings and recommendations.
  • Effective resource and project planning, decision making, results delivery, team building experience, and the ability to stay current with relevant technology and innovation.

  • This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
