
Logistics Engineer

- Analyzes contractual commitments, customer specifications, design changes, and other data to plan and develop logistic program activities from the conceptual stage through the life-cycle of the product
- Develops and implements program activities, coordinates efforts of subcontractors, production departments, and field service personnel to ensure meeting of contractual commitments
- Compiles data on standardization and interchangeability of parts to expedite logistics activities
- Determines logistic support sequences and time phasing, problems arising from the location of the operational area, and other factors, such as environmental and human factors affecting personnel
- Develops and initiates preparation of handbooks, bulletins, and information systems to provide and supply logistics support
- Maintains detailed records of goods and services ordered and received
- Identifies and reports specifications for issuing and awarding bids to supervisor
- Locates vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, and consults with them in order to determine product availability and terms of sales
- Represents the Company in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers
- Researches and selects suppliers
- May conduct interviews to obtain more information on supplier services, products, and operations
- Clearance Required: Secret
- Must be able to obtain a Top Secret/SCI
- Possess a valid and current U. S. Passport and Driver’s License.
- Experience and demonstrated ability with developing purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
- Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for various specialized supplies and equipment.
- Experience with military air movement processes
- Inventory tools such as integrated RFID technology
- Experience with Command Supply Discipline Program
- Experience and demonstrated ability with Property Book Management, Supply, and Logistic Ordering Systems, Logistic Budgeting operation, Direct Shipment Management Operations, and Proper Inventory Operation
- Experience and demonstrated ability with the Government Services Administration and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement
- Must obtain a Forklift License within 180 days of employment
- Experience supporting Special Operations
- Experience with ServiceNow
- Experience and demonstrated ability to communicate with Director-level stakeholders
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including a protective mask, ballistic helmet, body armor, and chemical/biological protective garments
- Medically/Physically fit for deployment with U. S. Military Forces Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) under the provisions of USCENTCOM Medical Standards
