Schedule: Hybrid onsite rolePosition Summary:The Protection and Control Engineer will support the design, analysis, and improvement of protective relaying and communication systems within the electric utility infrastructure. The role is essential for ensuring compliance with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) standards and addressing critical protection engineering gaps. The engineer will contribute to system reliability through engineering design, system disturbance analysis, and field support.Key Responsibilities:Design protection, control, and associated communication systems for electric utility infrastructure.Conduct system disturbance analysis and recommend relay system modifications or enhancements.Perform short circuit studies and relay setting calculations as required.Support NERC/NPCC compliance activities, ensuring engineering standards are met.Provide site support during equipment commissioning or post-disturbance investigations.Required Qualifications and Skills:Proficiency in designing and engineering Protection and Control systems for electric utilities.Strong working knowledge of protective relaying systems and their components.Experience in developing relay settings and conducting related calculations.Familiarity with programming microprocessor-based protective relays.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).Education and Certifications:Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution.Application ProcessResume ReviewInitial DiscussionVideo ScreeningClient InterviewLooking to play a key role in power system reliability and protection design?
