As we rebuild our ecommerce platform to be more modular, performant, and conversion-driven, we're seeking a Frontend Developer with strong Shopify and React expertise to help drive high-impact feature development and support our rapidly evolving site. We're looking for a frontend engineer to lead the development of Shopify theme features and integrated React components. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with our site merchandising and UX teams, facilitate A/B testing using Visually, and support operational automation via Shopify Flow. This role is ideal for a developer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is passionate about ecommerce performance, and wants to make a direct impact on customer experience and business outcomes.What you'll do:
  • Develop and maintain a custom Shopify theme using Liquid, JSON templates, and semantic HTML/CSS, JS, React; Manage version control branching and releasing
  • Create and optimize reusable Liquid and React-based components.
  • Collaborate with the Manager of Digital Product, Manager of Site Merchandising, and UX
  • Designer to implement new features, assisting with bi-monthly content updates as needed
  • Build A/B tests using Visually
  • Support automation through Shopify Flow
  • Build API integrations and maintain existing platforms
  • Troubleshoot cross-browser and responsive layout issues, with a focus on mobile
(especially iOS/Safari)What you'll have:
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience with Shopify theme development (Liquid, JSON templates)
  • Proficient in React and modern JavaScript (ES6+), including state management and DOM manipulation
  • Familiarity with the Shopify API and ability to create and manage webhooks, address deprecations, and maintain API calls
  • Familiarity Shopify Flow and ability to create efficient, scalable logic for automation
  • Comfortable using GitHub, Figma, and Asana in a collaborative development environment
  • Solid grasp of Core Web Vitals, performance optimization, and SEO-aware frontend best practices
  • Understanding of Shopify private app development and Admin API (GraphQL or REST) (preferred)
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Experience with Shopify Plus and Checkout Extensibility
  • Familiarity with platforms like Constructor, Nosto, ContentSquare, Heap, and/or Elevar
  • Experience with Google Tag Manager, including custom event tracking and dataLayer
configuration * Experience with AWS, Firebase, Matrixify, and/or BigQueryWe aim to pay competitively for our size and industry. The base salary range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000 USD, but we will consider location, skill level and experience to determine the final offer.Why us you ask!
