● Work alongside integration specialists to streamline system connectivity and automate workflows.● Perform root cause analysis for data discrepancies, failures, and performance bottlenecks.● Work with system administrators to ensure data security and access control best practices.● Support Business Intelligence (BI) initiatives by structuring data for and helping build dashboards and interactive reports, empowering end-users to access and explore data independently.● Maintain technical documentation for data workflows, integrations, and system dependencies.● Prepare data migration strategies to help modernize city resources (e.g. database migrations, upgrades, cloud/hybrid integrations, etc.).● Conduct data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable business insights.● Work closely with business leaders, analysts, and department heads to gather requirements and ensure BI solutions align with business objectives.● Help train and support business users, ensuring they can use BI tools effectively to make data-driven decisions.● Research, evaluate, and recommend software tools, platforms, and third-party solutions to meet business and technical requirements.● Perform unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews to ensure software quality and maintainability.● Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and practices, suggesting and implementing improvements to streamline workflows and increase productivity.Job RequirementsEducation :● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience :● Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering, Integration Engineering, Data Analysis, or a similar field.● Proven experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar.● Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, or other scripting/ETL languages.
● Strong understanding of database systems such as MS SQL Server, MySQL, etc., including database design and optimization.● Knowledge of data modeling and creating star/snowflake schemas, and dimensional modeling ● Hands-on experience with ETL processes and tools (SSIS, Talend, Apache Airflow, or similar)● Knowledge of data integration protocols (APIs, SFTP, message queues, XML/JSON data exchanges, etc.) ● Experience in data visualization and dashboard creation.● Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and platforms.● Ability to write clear, well-documented code and provide technical support to business users.● Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and propose effective solutions.● Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.● Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.● Solid understanding of business analysis methodologies, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation.Highly Desirable Experience, Qualifications and/or Certifications :● Local government or public sector experience especially public safety (police and fire).● Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git or TFS) and collaborative development workflows (e.g., GitFlow).● Previous experience in a hybrid role combining technical and business analysis responsibilities.● Knowledge of cloud-based data storage and processing (AWS, Azure, etc.).Compensation depends on experience but is typically $111,394 - $148,525 AnnuallyABOUT KORE1
