- Assist with planning and implementing age-appropriate classroom activities that support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Support daily operations by preparing materials, maintaining records, and ensuring a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to observe, document, and assess child progress; assist in implementing individualized learning goals.
- Encourage parent engagement by supporting family-friendly environments and participating in educational activities and home visits.
- Foster inclusion by supporting children with diverse needs and promoting practices that reflect cultural, linguistic, and individual differences.
- 6+ months’ experience as a student intern, tutor, or instructional assistant working in an educational setting with pre-elementary school children is strongly preferred
- 6+ ECE/CHDV units strongly preferred
- High school diploma preferred
- California Teaching Commission Child Development Associate Teacher permit preferred
- If no permit is held, a professional development plan will be put in place to ensure the pathway to obtain the permit.
- Bilingual English, Spanish, Korean and/or Tagalog preferred.
