- Possess the necessary knowledge, skills, and attributes to implement and assess instruction on systems, subsystems, equipment controls, and routine preventive and corrective maintenance functions at the operator level.
- The Vehicle Operator Instructor is responsible for reviewing and recommending updates to course curricula, lesson plans, student guides, and audio-visual aids in alignment with lesson material and assessments.
- Deliver instruction related to incident events identified for the ACV FoV, as well as the associated training systems.
- Perform tasks associated with the operation and maintenance of the ACV, including but not limited to Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS), inspections, and other responsibilities as specified in the operator technical manual, related references, instructions, and any training systems connected to operator instruction delivery.
- Maintain and update assigned instructional periods and complete other administrative duties related to upkeep of the operator curriculum.
- Must be physically and mentally capable of successfully completing the Marine Corps Water Survival Training Program (MCO 1500.52D), the Marine Corps Submerged Egress Training (SVET), and license and certification requirements of the specific Amphibious Combat Vehicle variant (i.e. Operator license, Maintainer certification, or Communicator certification of Communications suite on the ACV FoVs).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer-facing and internal oral and written communications skills
- Excellent MS Office skills to include, but not limited to MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project.
- Experience working in a Marine Corps Systems Command Program Office or similar organization
- Positive attitude and understanding of the Marine Corps mission.
- Ability to function as part of an agile team when given broad direction.
- Minimum, four years' experience training in a military period of instruction/program.
- Experienced in the operation, repair, installation, maintenance, assembly, and disassembly of the system(s) and subsystem(s).
