The Plant Operator will operate and assist in maintenance of plants at our aggregate quarry in Pittston, PA.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Adhere to and follow all safety rules and regulations of MSHA/OSHA/DOT and Pennsy Supply, Inc.
- Conduct daily safety assignments (area inspections, pre-shifts, JSA's, TRACK, etc.).
- Start crushing, screening, conveying and all related equipment.
- Daily safety check of the plant.
- Ensure proper size and quality of the product.
- Maximize production of the product.
- Fill in as needed at any position in the quarry and asphalt operation.
- Communicate maintenance needs on a daily basis; turn in maintenance requests daily - fill out work orders for maintenance required.
- Keep plant area neat and organized.
- Check oil levels and grease all equipment on the plant as required. Complete daily and weekly checklists.
- Verify all equipment is functioning properly.
- Maintain crusher settings.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must submit to a drug screen and criminal background check.
- Current driver's license.
- Able to work various times during day, night or weekend hours.
- High school Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience perferred.
- Computer experience helpful
