- Patient Registration: Greet patients upon arrival, collect personal and insurance information, and input data into the electronic health record (EHR) system to ensure accuracy and completeness.- Insurance Verification: Contact insurance providers to confirm patient coverage and benefits, documenting findings and communicating any discrepancies to patients and healthcare providers.- Appointment Scheduling: Manage the scheduling of patient appointments, including follow-ups and referrals, to optimize the appointment calendar and minimize wait times.- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism, acting as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers.- Documentation: Prepare and maintain patient admission and discharge documentation, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.- Administrative Support: Perform general administrative tasks, including answering phone calls, handling billing inquiries, and maintaining organized patient records.
