Elwood Staffing would like to inform job seekers about potential employment scams that involve individuals posing as our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.What steps should you take if you suspect you've received a fraudulent text?
  • Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
  • If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.
Helping you stay secure - how to recognize a scam
  • Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.

Maintenance Technician Details:
  • Temp-to-Hire position
  • $28.00 /hour
  • Full Time work available
  • Second Shift (Monday through Friday from 03:40pm to 04:00am)
Performs work involving the skills of two or more maintenance or craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of the facility in repair. Duties may involve pipe fitting; boiler making; insulating; welding; machining; carpentry; repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment; and repairing buildings, floors, or stairs.Maintenance Technician Qualifications:Strong technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, heating, etc.)Excellent planning and leadership abilitiesKnowledge of health and safety practices and regulationsEye for detail, computer savy, information technology training a plusProfessional certifications (CMRP or HVAC certified are preferred
