Job Title: MEP Superintendent Job DescriptionThe MEP Superintendent is responsible for coordinating all MEP-related pre-construction and construction operations. This includes managing both MEP and non-MEP personnel as they interface with overall MEP installation work. The role involves scheduling, organizing, and sequencing the work of MEP trade field workforces through direct interaction with various trade field supervisory personnel. Additionally, the superintendent is responsible for developing and monitoring construction schedules, reviewing trade coordination drawings for constructability, tracking and inspecting all MEP-related installation activities, and ensuring jobsite expenditures are within budget.Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all MEP-related pre-construction and construction operations.
  • Schedule, organize, and sequence the work of MEP trade field workforces.
  • Develop and monitor construction schedules and manpower loading charts.
  • Review trade coordination drawings to assess constructability.
  • Track and inspect all MEP-related installation activities for schedule conformance and quality.
  • Control jobsite expenditures for labor, equipment, material, and services.
Essential Skills
  • 5+ years of experience as an MEP Superintendent.
  • Well-versed in MEP (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing & Fire Protection).
  • Degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Knowledge of phases of construction operation.
  • Ability to estimate projects' MEP costs.
  • Experience within healthcare projects.
  • OSHA Certification.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience supporting large-scale commercial or infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
  • Open to candidates with 10-20 years of experience.
  • Must complete two references prior to submission.
Work EnvironmentThis role is on-site from Monday to Friday, starting at a hospital in Brooklyn and then moving to a site in Queens. All work is hospital-based. The company is employee-owned, with most employees having been with the company for over 15 years. It offers an ESOP program where employees receive stock shares. The work involves collaboration with a senior MEP superintendent on-site who is managing air handling, and there is support available from additional personnel.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, New York.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $48.07 - $80.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
