
Human Resources Specialist

- Process biweekly payroll accurately and timely, including employee hours, wages, bonuses, deductions, withholdings, and adjustments.
- Maintain and update employee data within the benefit administration and payroll systems, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Reconcile payroll data, prepare reports, and support accounting with general ledger entries.
- Respond to employee payroll and benefits inquiries, resolving issues with professionalism and discretion.
- Assist with onboarding activities, including new hire orientation, collecting and filing required documentation, and setting up employee records.
- Perform periodic audits of HR and payroll files to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support HR department with administrative tasks such as preparing letters, forms, and reports; maintaining filing systems; and assisting with audits.
- Assist in planning and executing employee engagement events, benefits enrollment, and other HR initiatives.
- Provide general support to managers and HR leadership, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and handling correspondence.
- Perform other HR and office duties as assigned.
- Minimum 3 years of experience processing payroll, preferably with HRIS and accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, deductions, and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive information with tact and confidentiality.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and comfortable learning new HR/payroll systems.
- High school diploma required; further education in HR, accounting, or business administration preferred.

- Full-time, 40-45 hours per week (with overtime as needed).
- $22-25 per hour, depending on experience.
