Duties Description The Chief of Staff is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day office operations across the district and legislative offices, managing staff and communications, coordinating legislative and community initiatives, and protecting and promoting the Assembly Member's time, legislative agenda, and public profile through strategic scheduling, communication, and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, anticipates challenges, and builds strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels of government and the community.legislative, district, and community priorities. This position requires exceptional discretion, sound judgment, and a demonstrated ability to manage complex priorities with professionalism and integrity.Minimum Qualifications Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Flexible availability to include and some nights/weekends
Proven team leadership, organizational skills, and staff development
Politically astute
Effective conflict resolution
Strong public speaking and community engagement abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
Understanding of the local political and social landscape of the Assembly District
Ability to engage and develop strong relationships with stakeholders on all levels
