
Environmental Project Manager – Site Investigation & Remediation

- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals to develop creative, cost-effective, and compliant solutions for sites that are complicated by the presence of contamination.
- Manage diverse SI&R projects while maintaining and growing client relationships.
- Coordinate the preparation and review of project deliverables (e.g. Phase I ESAs, desktop due diligence memos, site investigation reports, evaluations and corrective action alternatives, soil management plans, corrective action plans, etc.) with a high level of proficiency.
- Mentor and develop junior staff, including coaching of field procedures, task and budget management, and promotion of a positive client experience.
- Represent VHB through participation in professional organizations, conferences, and community engagement.
- Stay current with regulations, emerging contaminants, evolving technologies, and industry trends.
- Excellent communication skills, including exceptional writing and the ability to review technical documents with attention to detail.

- Field and office experience (role is primarily office-based, with occasional field oversight).
- Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental/Civil Engineering, Environmental Science or a related field (Master’s a plus).
- 5-8+ years of professional experience in environmental consulting and site remediation.
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER and current 8-hour refresher certification required.
- PE licensure in Vermont preferred, and/or PG in New England or New York preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of VTDEC IRule. Familiarity with NHDES or NYDEC regulations a plus.
- Established positive relationships with VTDEC and EPA Region 1 strongly preferred.
