The Accounting & Payroll Analyst is a key member of the Accounting Team with a focus on payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with all regulations. In addition, this role supports other areas of accounting, including Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and collaborative, with the ability to streamline workflows and partner effectively with both internal teams and external vendors.
Main aspects of the role include:
- Support payroll operations, including timecard management, pay codes, deductions, garnishments, and manual check requests.
- Partner with HR to create a seamless and positive employee experience by ensuring payroll processes are aligned and communicated clearly and thoughtfully.
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and accuracy.
- Assist in 401(k) administration, including employee data management, regulatory compliance, validation and 401(k) audit.
- Assist with year-end payroll processes such as W-2 generation, closing payruns, and 401(k) administration.
- Provide cross-functional accounting support in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, and collections.
- Contribute to financial reporting, audits, and period-end close activities.
- Generate weekly KPI reporting and support continuous process improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 2 -3 years of hands-on experience in both accounting operations and payroll, including multi-state payroll, payroll tax, and wage & hour law.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with high-volume transactions, balancing accuracy with deadlines.
- Skilled with accounting software, ERP systems, and payroll platforms; experience with Infor M3 ERP and ADP is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, while bringing attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external partners.
