Prepare internal and external reports and reconciliations as required. Remain current on all related regulations/legislation. The incumbent will work as a member of the Employee Experience team and serve as a resource for the entire organization.Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:Analyzes, prepares, and inputs payroll dataManage the processing of bi-weekly payroll, including all necessary general ledger entries, tax payments, and related internal and external reportingMonitor payroll reports to ensure accuracyAudit bi-weekly Flex Plan contributions and submit for fund transferProcess bi-weekly 401(k) Plan, 457(b) Plan, and Flex Plan contributionsProcess bi-weekly garnishment payments and executive retirement payments/wiresReconcile related accounts on a periodic, e.g., monthly, basisEnsure compliance with federal law by making sure the federal employment eligibility Form I-9 is filled out correctly and timely by completing quarterly auditsPrepare quarterly and year-end tax filings on both state and federal levelsPrepare Federal W-2, W-3, and 1099R forms and distribute within required deadlinesMaintain HRIS database, including entry of new employees, position transfer maintenance, and compensation maintenanceComplies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actionReconciles and submits Third Party Sick FICA SubmissionsVerifies documentation and accuracy of FUTA & SUI RatesRespond to employee questions regarding payroll and other Human Resources-related mattersMaintain PTO balances; assist employees with questions regarding PTOAct as liaison with payroll tax vendor regarding routine and exception-related payroll tax issuesAssist with compensation budget, budget variance reporting, forecasting, and projections as neededGenerate compensation, benefits, and employee-related reports, as neededProvide retirement plan record keeper with data for quarterly benefit statementsProcess employment verification requests from external sources and responds to internal requests for e.g., loan applicationsProcess unemployment insurance, salary verification, and payroll/attendance history requestsSearch addresses in DNA for any returned employee mail and update in WorkdayConduct periodic audits of payroll and benefit plan deductionsMaintains payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and proceduresConduct and complete compensation/salary surveysPrepare monthly reports for Accounting and Finance departments as well as CUSOsPrepare information, documentation, and reports as needed for audits, e.g., Workers’ Compensation, retirement plans, Internal Audit, Banking Dept, and NCUAMaintain required postings on intranet and provide materials to all credit union locations for required postings bulletin boardsMaintain written procedures on primary responsibilitiesSupport employee benefits function as neededDevelop and maintain job-specific proceduresOther duties as assignedMinimum Job Qualifications:Associate's degree in business/human resource management or related field; three to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceProficiency with Workday and/or ADP payroll systems is requiredCPP – Certified Payroll Professional, FPC – Fundamental Payroll Certification preferredExcellent analytical, organizational, computer and communication skills (written and verbal) are requiredStarting Compensation: $60,392-$73,903 annually, plus a competitive benefits package.Bilingual individuals who are fluent in a second language in addition to English are highly encouraged to apply.We are an equal opportunity employer.
