As a Customer Service Representative, you ll play a key part in ensuring patients and caregivers receive timely, accurate support for home medical equipment and respiratory care services. From intake and insurance verification to coordinating with physicians and resolving questions, you ll be at the heart of helping patients live more comfortably at home.   • Communicate with patients, caregivers, and referral sources to resolve questions and provide timely service.
  • Verify Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance coverage for equipment and services.
  • Process patient intake paperwork, assemble charts, and prepare billing files.
  • Assist with daily office operations: invoices, deposits, supply management, and reporting.
  • Provide in-person support for retail/walk-in equipment requests.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards (JCAHO, HIPAA, company policies).
  • Prepare documentation (CMNs, SOPs, tracking logs, UPS batch reports, etc.) with accuracy.
  • Maintain referral logs and coordinate with outside agencies to resolve customer issues.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ year of experience in healthcare customer service, billing, or office administration preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical equipment, terminology, and billing/reimbursement practices preferred.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel; internet navigation).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and manage confidential information.
  • Comfort with occasional lifting (up to 35 lbs.) and assisting with patient equipment.
  • Professional, compassionate, and team-oriented mindset.
