- Under direction, manage the dean’s social media presence including creating, publishing and tracking engagement. Propose and implement approved communication strategies and develop content that best conveys key messages.
- Post and track content for internal and external constituents, consistent with the college brand.
- Develop and implement clear, engaging messaging across multiple social media platforms.
- Create digital signage, track, edit and refresh content on a regular basis.
- Greet and assist guests in the Dean’s Office, providing a professional and welcoming presence for visitors, students, and stakeholders.
- Assist in the development and execution of marketing and communication plans for college initiatives, events, and outreach efforts.
- Promote the college and its programs through consistent messaging aligned with established marketing strategies and brand guidelines.
- Maintain familiarity with key stakeholders and support relationship-building efforts through effective communication and event coordination.
- Primary point of contact for the dean’s office, providing information and responding to inquiries.
- Gather and share information about the college using available resources.
- Contribute data and insights to help evaluate the effectiveness of specific communication efforts.
- Track and report key communication metrics to evaluate effectiveness and inform strategy.
- May assist in the coordination/ preparation of strategic communications plans in support of a project, program, department, or college/unit.
- Align personal goals to that of the unit and college.
- Monitor expenditures and reconcile statements as needed. Determine project or event costs and provide input to budget development.
- May monitor and report on designated budget components.
- May direct the work of staff/student volunteers during external relations and/or dean’s office events.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or journalism; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in an office setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience with social media and posting social media content in a professional manner.
- Proficiency with content management systems and basic graphic design or video editing is a plus.
