SUMMARYResponsible for analyzing, designing, programming, installing, configuring, and supporting multiple application and database systems. Responsible for working with end users on maintaining and upgrading clinical and business application systems, and monitoring and troubleshooting application issues, hardware, and application components to ensure system availability to all system users. Develops and implements new programming designs, documenting the program(s), developing test plans, and conducting the testing effort. Assists in the installations, upgrades, support, and problem resolution for server-based operating systems. Provide direction, information, and recommendations regarding software applications, server configurations, and installations.RESPONSIBILITIES * Assist with diagnosis and solving software application issues and hardware operating systems and services.
  • Participates in the creation, implementation and continual improvement of standards, processes and procedures required to deliver high quality customer service.
  • Design and develop software application test plans, work closely with end users on fully testing designed test plans, and move application updates into the production environment.
  • Closely participates and works with end users on system design, software application upgrades, and determines appropriate hardware / software needs for the desired upgrade.
  • Fully documents all software application programming changes.
  • Works closely with end users on designing and testing business continuity (disaster recovery) plans.
7.Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for appropriate IS staff.QUALIFICATIONSAn Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is preferred; significant experience may substitute for formal training.The candidate needs 5 or more years of related experience in a programming language and experience in planning, analysis, design, coding, and implementation of business or clinical software applications.Additional Info:About AnMedFounded in 1908, AnMed is an independent, not-for-profit health system serving Upstate South Carolina and northeast Georgia.
