- Business Partnership: Acting as a trusted advisor to operations, supply chain, and engineering teams-providing clear financial insights, challenging costs and investments, and supporting initiatives that drive plant profitability.
- Continuous Improvement: Leading and contributing to process improvements, leveraging Lean tools, and enhancing the efficiency, accuracy, and value of all finance deliverables.
- Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly plant performance reports (KPIs, variance analysis, conversion cost tracking, productivity metrics).
- Develop financial models and forecasts to support operational decision-making.
- Analyze production, labor, and material variances, translating shop floor performance into actionable financial insights.
- Maintain and improve plant financial dashboards and reporting tools.
- Support annual budget preparation, including standard labor and overhead rates, departmental spending, and capital budgets.
- Assist in preparing monthly forecasts and long-term financial projections.
- Track actual results against budget and forecast, providing variance explanations and recommendations.
- Partner with accounting and operations to analyze inventory balances, reserves, and cost of goods sold.
- Coordinate and support physical inventory counts and cycle counting processes.
- Monitor scrap, rework, and waste metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
- Lead cost reduction and efficiency initiatives in collaboration with operations.
- Ensure financial activities comply with corporate policies, US GAAP, and SOX requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of plant internal controls.
- Support internal and external audit processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3-5 years' experience in manufacturing finance, cost accounting, or FP&A.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to link operational data to financial performance.
- Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and financial reporting tools.
- Very proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Confidence in challenging the status quo; always on the hunt for continuous improvement opportunities.
- The ability to go fast; the desire to help others go faster.
