POSITION SUMMARY:SRO Special Response Officers are assigned to a primary shift and must be available to work any day of the scheduled work week to include weekends and holidays. The SRO Special Response Officer will cover call-offs, vacations, shift shortages and any other special coverage requirements that the site has on their assigned shift.Special Response Officers perform the following tasks under the direct supervision of their Site Supervisor or Manager there schedule is subject to change based on site needs. Conducting routine patrols of the site which they are assigned either by foot or patrol vehicle. Performs access control functions to the facility and our buildings. Protects client property and personnel as per the site standard operating procedures. Monitors CCTV and alarm systems as needed. Implement emergency protocols and drills as needed and or required. the client and communityAs an SRO Special Response Officer at Tarian, you are a member of a diverse team working in an inclusive and dynamic environment. The SRO Special Response Officer will cover call-offs, vacations, shift shortages and any other special coverage requirements that the site has on their assigned shift. Qualifications:SRO Special Response Officer Requirements:
  • Must have a valid High School Diploma or GED
  • Prior experience as a Security Officer, Police officer, or Military experience preferred.
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays on your respective shift assignment.
  • Must possess a Valid State issued Driver’s license.
  • Must have the ability to conduct extended foot patrols.
  • Must be able to climb multiple flights of stairs.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations as per operating procedures.
  • Ability to hear & see in low light situations.
  • Ability to lift twenty pounds (specific site requirements may vary)
  • Capable of working outside in extreme weather conditions.
Capable of comprehending site-specific policies and standard operating procedures and the ability to implement such as needed.PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work hours will vary depending on assignments, client schedules, project deadlines, and the needs of the company. Workweeks may exceed 40 hours and may involve any of the 7 days of the week, depending on the needs of the business. The work environment may be fast-paced and stressful or may also be quiet and slow-paced. All environments and pace of work will require alertness and ability to perform under pressure.While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to sit, stand, and walk for variable amounts of time throughout an assigned shift; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects 25 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
