Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to be prepared and equipped to handle a variety of scenarios while operating a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. You will interact with employees, visitors, and contractors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times.   • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas within the utilities location.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of observations, incidents, and/or activities during patrols.
  • Communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and local authorities as required for security-related matters.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies or unusual situations, utilizing appropriate de-escalation techniques when necessary.
  • Operate and maintain assigned security-related equipment, including firearms, in accordance with company and site-specific guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements in the job state.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
