
MOGAS Program Analyst

- Provide inspection and training for the Motor Gasoline (MOGAS) system aboard ships under the Engineering program.
- Conduct an annual inspection of designated ships' MOGAS system and verify Cargo Fuel Operational Sequencing System (CFOSS) documentation for the specified auxiliary systems. Review the condition of the work center.
- Provide a CFOSS briefing talk-through and system walk-through and review CFOSS procedures for correct and complete coverage of the MOGAS system. Coordinate and conduct ship fuel safety walk-through inspections and MOGAS assist visits. Maintain procedures and technical specifications for the development, review, certification, and installation of CFOSS and AFOSS.
- Conduct a MOGAS system on-site training and walk-through to ensure system integrity and review training documentation for operating MOGAS Storage, Transfer, Service, Inerting, Seawater and Safety Systems including the procedures outlined in CFOSS manuals, pollution control manuals, and instructions. Inspect conditions of MOGAS Locker and jettison rack system. Review MOGAS locker shelves drawing and diagram specifications as needed.
- Give expert advice on the MOGAS jettison maintenance and repair.
- Provide MOGAS monthly graphical reports. Identify and document service in support of COMNAVSURFLANT Amphibious ships.
- Determine presently installed equipment, provide operation assistance and instruction and identify components/parts repairable by Ship’s Force, NSSA, and the Shipyard for the following functions: MOGAS on-load and off-load MOGAS systems test and SPAS ship/shore interface.
- Provide on-site subject matter expert response to in-person, telephone or e-mail inquiries or concerns regarding MOGAS program.
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- At least twenty (20) years of experience as military, civil service, or contractor (E-7 or GS-12 equivalent) with shipboard engineering and maintenance experience.
- Five (5) years experience with specific knowledge as a technical and subject matter specialist applying professional general engineering knowledge and concept in support of initiatives associated with Automotive Gasoline (MOGAS) maintenance, repair, and modernization of U.S. Naval vessel.
- Five (5) years experience within last five (5) years of ship maintenance availability planning and execution of industrial work and repair functions supporting USN surface ship operation and/or maintenance.
- Five (5) years experience in developing, tracking, and monitoring metrics and/or conducting deep-dive analysis of various naval HM&E system and equipment.
- Proficient with common productivity software, including the Microsoft Office suite.
