- Point of contact for escalation issues and troubleshooting issues for customers
- Responsible for selling or upselling products to customers, identifying and developing new prospects. Could also be assigned customer accounts.
- Responsible for identifying lost customers and developing a strategy to regain their business.
- Train new ISA’s and current ISA’s (as required).
- Interact with customers over the phone, in person and electronically.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to customer needs quickly and accurately.
- As part of a sales team, work to grow sales and achieve branch/company sales and profitability growth goals.
- Enter sales orders using the ERP system and work with the Branch Operations group to arrange for delivery or customer pick up.
- Keep customers informed of any changes to orders such as product availability or delivery dates.
- Generate formal quotes using the ERP system to communicate material pricing and availability.
- Support Outside Sales Associates in responding to customer needs.
- Keep abreast of competitive situations and market intelligence and relay relevant information to the Branch Manager.
- Proactively place outbound phone calls to customers to generate additional orders and follow up on quotes.
- Learn and maintain proficient product knowledge to answer customers questions about product features, benefits, specification, and installation methods.
- Collect and process customer payments for COD and past due AR balances.
- Perform administrative duties related to customer orders and returns.
- Adhere to all company SOP’s and policies.
- Special projects as assigned by Branch Manager.

- Bachelor’s degree preferred or high school graduate with experience equivalent
- A minimum of 5-8+ years inside sales experience
- Strong Sales and customer service focus.
- Strong knowledge of all products offered at the branch.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with all levels of the branch.
- Ability to multitask and handle time sensitive information
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (verbal and written).
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to act with integrity and professionalism.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills – Excel, Word, etc.
- Expert proficiency experience with order entry / ERP / CRM systems)
Physical Demands: This job requires the ability to sit, stand, lift and/or move.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday 8 hours per day.
