Salt Lake City, UtahOur client is a growing manufacturing organization based in Salt Lake City, committed to operational excellence and continuous improvement. They are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their finance team and contribute to their ongoing growth.Position Summary:
The Staff Accountant will primarily focus on General Ledger accounting responsibilities, supporting month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with 1-3 years of accounting experience looking to grow their career in a hands-on, dynamic manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily and monthly General Ledger accounting tasks, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations, including fixed assets, inventory, and accruals
- Support intercompany accounting activities and reconciliations
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and complete financial data
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analyses as needed
- Support audit and compliance activities, providing documentation and explanations as required
- Maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure adherence to company standards
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
- 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with a focus on General Ledger accounting
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with ERP systems preferred)
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, on-site environment
- Manufacturing industry experience is a plus but not required
