Hurricane Restaurant is hiring line cooks and pantry cooks. We are seeking hard-working individuals to join our team. Experience preferred but we are happy to train someone who is quick to learn and has a good attitude. Hurricane is an established, "scratch" restaurant, with an excellent reputation. The right individual would be ambitious, hard-working, and team oriented. Pay is competitive, and will be based on the experience and knowledge that you bring to the table. - Create daily prep lists and complete all tasks in a timely fashion
- Set up the kitchen with necessary tools and equipment
- Prepare food and present it in an appealing manner
- Maintain a clean and organized work station
- Maintain appropriate levels of inventory and restock when necessary
- Follow all food safety regulations
- Participate in daily kitchen opening and closing procedures
- Follow daily and weekly cleaning projects to maintain a clean and organized kitchen
- Performs other duties as assigned by the head chef or management
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
- ServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification preferred but not required
- Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques and ability to follow recipes
- Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressure
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 pounds
