- Maintenance Engineer is responsible for general building and property appearance, operations, and maintenance at the LEO A DALY headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska.
- Maintenance Engineer will inspect the property related to general maintenance, fire, and safety conditions daily and report findings to the Director of Operations.
- Maintenance will perform tasks resulting from inspections, respond to service calls reporting areas needing attention, and complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
- Tasks will include opening and closing the building, preventative maintenance of building systems, plumbing, painting, carpentry, mechanical and electrical repair work, and office remodel construction work including space alterations and installing furniture.
- Maintenance must troubleshoot issues and make necessary repair adjustments or replacements as required. When additional tools or materials are needed, Maintenance will make necessary recommendations for purchases to Director of Operations.
- Maintenance will perform wide-ranging seasonal property maintenance tasks in varying weather conditions including caring for bushes, tree trimming, planting, leaf removal, mowing, and snow/ice removal.
- Additional assignments may include general or heavy-duty cleaning tasks and delivery.
- Maintenance Engineer will share every other week rotational responsibility to be on-call to perform a building and grounds check and address emergency security issues at the property.
- Maintenance must complete assignments with a high degree of quality yet must be aware of their skills limitations and request services of a licensed professional as required.
- Must have valid Driver's License
- Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years general maintenance or construction experience required.
- Broad knowledge of standard practices and basic skills in plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and carpentry is preferred.
- Must have ability to work independently following oral or written instructions.
- Must have initiative and ability to troubleshoot minor problems and make necessary adjustments.
- Must have ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work on a ladder, and walk on uneven ground.
- Must be able to safely use common manual and power tools and have skills in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
