Maintenance Automation Technician - 3rd Shift

- Travel for training and continuous improvement activities

- Develop, initiate automation technologies
- Train plant technicians in the use of automation maintenance techniques and technologies
- Promote and incorporate current safety rules and regulations into the automation processes
- Provide technical support for production equipment and processes across the facility
- Interpret electrical schematics and user manuals
- Troubleshoot process issues with appropriate tools (e.g. multimeter, automation software) and diagnose the cause
- Use advanced network troubleshooting to diagnose control networking issues
- Work with IT to troubleshoot and maintain automation servers
- Backup and organize all automation related documentation (programs, schematics, network information, manuals)
- Must observe and practice all Department/Plant Procedures including wearing required PPE
- Follow plant safety, food Safety, sanitation standards, and follow all GMP guidelines
- Knowledge of Planned Maintenance and maintenance work cycle
- Knowledge of installation, operation, and repair of electrical and automation equipment
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and diagrams
- Knowledge of electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and controls systems
- Knowledge of electronic components such as HMIs, VFDs, sensors, process instrumentation
- Working knowledge of Rockwell Automation software such as Factory Talk, Factory Talk View, Control Logix, RS Logix
- IT skills and ability to set up computers, analyze IT issues and resolve them
- Advanced computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office & Preferably SAP
- Analytical, planning, and ability to solve problems
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Compute rate, ratio, and percent
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Knowledge of Plant safety, GMP's, & confined spaces
- Be LOTO/PIT certified
